bad electricity

check out my new music blog, bad electricity! i'm a pretty big freakin nerd and i take immense pleasure in sharing music with people...the blog will feature mostly (but not exclusively) punk and mostly stuff that's out of print, cuz i feel weird about sharing music if you can still buy it from the people who made it...i'm not sure how much energy i've got to put towards the thing and these music blogs get shut down pretty frequently, so get on it while it's alive!

p.s. the Sounds from the Cesspool tape will be out real damn soon.  If you were in a band on the tape, you can have it for $2, $4 for the rest of ya, and we're going to have a release show where you can get it for a one-night-only price of $3.  keep your ears open.

Finally, something to tell you all!

We've added just way too much stuff to the distro to list it all here, just go check it out.  I will mention that we just got some copies of the inaugural issue of THRASHEVILLE.  It rules, if you haven't seen it yet.  You've probably seen Eron at shows over the past few months and you've probably had a conversation with him, cuz the guy talks to everybody, which is great...but yeah, this zine is the result of his immersion into our town's DIY music scene, and it's impressive to say the least.  I dig his very quirky and tongue-in-cheek writing style and his coverage is quite in depth, and there's tons of photos. There's really no reason not to read this if you live here...you like reading about yourselves, right?

Aside from that, we're just waiting on the Sounds from the Cesspool comp tapes to arrive in the mailbox, and we're finishing up the inserts right now, so expect it to be released really really soon.  The Accidente tapes are going to look and sound freaking amazing and should be done within a month...and I'm hoping to take a trip to Austin to hand deliver them to the band when they play there in September.   We also have gotten our handy dandy cesspool tape duplicators of sound fixed and running, and we've manufactured tapes for Night Dogs of Chicago who are playing a couple of shows in town this weekend, so go to those shows and pick up a locally manufactured free range organic cassette punk music tape...check out the Asheville punk rock community networking machine over in the links on the right for details of those shows.

Hell yeah, life could be worse, right?

oh yeah, and check out Paddy and Skylar 's button and patch operation Foxtrot Tango Whiskey (FTW)
